WHO: Daenerys Targaryen and YOU WHEN: July 17, 2011 | 10:16 PM WHERE: A backstreet downtown WHAT: Daenerys Stormborn arrives! STATUS: Incomplete RATING: TBA
Daenerys' released the pillow she had been smothering against Drogo's face, and furiously blinked the hot tears which were forming in her eyes. She hated herself right now, but she had to do it. If she let Drogo live she would hate herself even more. She should have listened to Qotho and the others. Why had her sympathy for those women, especially Duur blind her? She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, tossing the pillow to the side.
It had been her fault Drogo had been hurt, had she not insisted that the women be left alone, had she not put them under her care and say that should the Dothraki want them they had to marry them none of this would have happened. Is this what compassion got you? And then Duur came foreword, saying she could clean the wound. She did not. And when it got worse she said she could use a spell to save Drogo's life, but it would come at a cost. The cost was beyond Daenerys imagining.
And their son, Rhaego. He had also died. And according to Duur he had died a monster.
When she opened her eyes, everything changed. She was no longer in her tent, she was somewhere else - somewhere dimly lit with a hard ground. There were strange noises, noises she had never heard before. She looked down, and both the pillow and Drogo were gone. Her eyes widened in horror.
This had to be Duur, didn't it? She had taken revenge on Drogo, now she was going to take revenge on Daenerys as well. Clearly that woman had no heart. Daenerys would see to it, she would pay for what she did, once she figured out what was happening. Slowly, Daenerys got to her feet, and looked around.
"Ser Jorah?" she called out, doing her best to keep her voice strong.
The sound of something loud, came from behind her and Daenerys whirled around, seeing lights and something big and dark go by several feet away from her.
"I demand an explanation for this. I am Daenerys Stormborn. I am your Khaleesi, and you will answer me."
There was no answer. Daenerys slowly began making her way to where she had seen the dark object with the strange lights go by. She had no idea what was going on, yet she wasn't that afraid. She had just killed her sun and stars, what could possibly be worse than that? If she could survive her brother, than she was sure she could survive almost anything.
