Who: Clark and Kon What: Kryptonians have angst too When: tonight Where: complex rooftop. Warnings: TBA!
The city felt strange. Or was it just him? There was a possibility it was both. The aftermath of Famine had left a sour taste in the back of his throat. It almost felt like he was just disconnected from it all. He was the piece of the puzzle that got lost during shipping. There was always one when you got to the end that was missing. Things were starting to get back to normal as they always did, but he didn't feel the same effect. He was watching outside looking in. He had gone to Bella's apartment where the plants that he'd killed had turned to mulch. He didn't feel anything. He'd seen and spoken to Allana, and there was nothing there. Like nobody was home and the lights were turned off. He saw her. But he didn't understand what he was supposed to be feeling. It wasn't just the Famine induced break up talking either. There should have been something keeping him there with her.
He didn't feel like he was necessary. Connor had said he was important, Clark practically ordered him not to go looking for Kryptonite, but the things didn't connect. They didn't make sense in his head. Many things didn't. That was why he was on the roof top. He had heard from a resident that the garden was supposed to be a peaceful place. How had she put it? A quiet place. That was exactly what he needed. Normally Kon was the type who was constantly attached to the modern world. He loved his mp3 player more then life itself, if music wasn't playing something was wrong, his cell phone was a life line, if he didn't have it in his hand the world was probably ending. Kon had neither of those things on his person. Just his thoughts and a view of the city at night spread infront of him. It should have been beautiful. Night was usually a time to relax. Tim had taught him that. His best friend. Even with all of the chaos that was life with the Teen Titans, and life as Superman's clone that there was always going to be another day. Night would fall and the sun would rise. Even when everything was upside down and uncertain those were things he could count on. Stabilizers.
Kon couldn't even miss home in the place that he was in. All he could do was look up at the sky and watch the stars. The gentle night time breeze was warm, but it didn't register to him. He was dressed in a pair of jeans and a black shirt with the House of El logo on it. His arms folded uncomfortably and nearly stiffly. The only thing he could remember was anger. Other emotions like hurt or guilt simply didn't exist. It was almost like the shut down was a reset button on his system. After Clark had finally accepted him, he had nearly moved past the fact that he was a clone. He was starting to be okay with it, but now it seemed like he was thrown thirty steps back.
