Aliens? Oh God, she knew! Wide-eyed, Clark clasped his hands together nervously and shifted from one foot to the other. To the casual observer, he looked very much like a child who badly needed to evacuate to the bathroom. Kara wasn't helping either. It was not funny and her giggling on about it was only making Clark even more anxious. One really didn't need super senses to detect her amusement.
"No," Clark said abruptly, looking from Lois to Kara to Lois all over again, "you don't have to do anything." He drew in a deep breath, nostrils flaring slightly as he looked down at the carpeted floor. "This is my mess. I'll take care of it." Kara wasn't responsible for this. She was a part of it, surely, but she had not been the one lying to Lois for several years. At first, it had been easy. He didn't really know Lois. And she was annoying. As time progressed, Clark felt more and more awkward about it. She had slowly become a part of his life. Constantly there. Dependable. Still annoying, but at the same time...there was something about Lois Lane that fascinated Clark. There weren't many women out there in the world like her.
"Are you sure...?" Clark looked to Kara in uncertainty. This was her secret too. Did she really want to be exposed?
Well, she was the one who said that Lois was going to find out one way or another. And the taking over. Clearly, Kara didn't think that they were going to get out of here without being exposed. He shook his head and sighed. "Lois, I'm -" He tilted his head to the side and shrugged, hands sliding into the front pockets of his jeans. "We. Kara and I, we're not exactly...we're - well, yeah. That."
