Oh yes, nothing serious at all. But Anatoly's current gentle demeanor was still confusing to Svetlana. After all, the man had been so distant with her for years. Oh, he had his moments, mostly when Molokov left them alone for more than a week where he started to show his true colors again, but those weren't often. It was as if the bastard knew what leaving Anatoly alone with his family would do and did everything in his power to keep that from happening. As if they were a threat to his precious chess game. Anatoly would have been fine with them in his life. Maybe they could have challenged him to be better! But that didn't matter. No, they were a distraction and had to be eliminated.
Even so, once Anatoly agreed with her, Svetlana stood where she was a moment longer in order to regain her composure. After all, it wouldn't do to walk down the street crying. Bruises and bleeding would be weird enough. Crying would just be... well, okay, it would make sense, but Svetlana wasn't the type to show emotion in front of others. It was hard enough for her to show this sort of emotion around Anatoly, strangers would just be bad. But once she had her composure regained, Svetlana reluctantly left the safety of Anatoly's embrace, though she kept her head bowed. She didn't want to see the confused looks.
Now it was waiting for Anatoly so they could get back to the complex and get the girls and to her apartment so she could take care of his injuries.
