Who: Elphaba and Sailor Moon Galinda
What: Making Elphie come to her senses, one hug at a time.
When: Today
Where: Between Lawrence and Kansas City
Warnings: Galinda torture. Broken Elphie.

Note: Those who Galinda told can have figured out her notes and come across the scene given she did just go off on her own with Thor's help. She left on her own because she's smart like that. But yes, they can see if'n you so desire =D

Even though it had been five days since Elphie's true descent into madness, more than talk, and certain people didn't think that people were doing anything, that wasn't the case. Galinda had been searching with Fiyero, she knew that Damon and Elena had been looking and she figured that Caroline had been looking and possibly Clark as they had commented on the last post. She wasn't sure, but she would say they were for the fact that she had faith in people. They weren't like the people she knew back home. They actually cared about people, like Elphie did. They were good people. Bad things happened here, but as a general rule, they were willing to figure out the cause without going in to fight. Oh, there was the mean person who wanted to kill Elphie, but he wasn't going to succeed. Galinda wouldn't let him. She was going to save Elphie. Make her come to her senses. Elphie just needed to realize that she wasn't alone.

Having realized that the way she'd been searching before hadn't done any good, Galinda had recalled a tracking spell that Elphie had taught her and so had stayed up the night before working on it. It had been hard as anything that wasn't protection related was hard for her, but as night turned into day, Galinda had finally managed to locate her best friend. So after informing the others, it was off to the location with Thor's help. She was scared, yes, but she knew she couldn't be. Or at least, she couldn't show it. She just knew that she had to do this. She had to prove to Elphie that she wasn't alone, that people loved and cared for her. Even when she was crazy. Because they knew that this wasn't her. They knew that something had happened, one of the bad things that this place had. And they wouldn't let fear come in the way of helping the green witch.

She had told Sam that she would use herself to lure Elphie out and that was what she planned to do. Elphie wouldn't come out if there were a bunch of people around, so she walked towards the abandoned building that her spell had pointed her towards, shaking. She wasn't strong. She wasn't brave. She liked fashion and the color pink. She was desperate for love and approval to the point of a currently abusive relationship which she was ignoring for the sake of Elphie at the moment. But despite all of her faults, Galinda cared. She wanted to help. Maybe her methods were unusual but they worked. She had faith in them. Besides, she could protect herself if necessary. Bubble. And Thor was close by in case something happened. So long as she remembered that in the heat of the moment.

"Elphie....?" Because startling Elphie would be a bad idea. Or something.

With each passing moment, it seemed, Elphaba fell more and more into madness. The downward spiral seemed to have no end, but that was only perhaps because somewhere in her mind, she realized that if she stopped herself, she'd realize what she'd done. And then she'd have to deal with the pain that Lucifer left behind. Not wanting to deal with the pain, Elphaba had stayed on the path that would almost certainly lead to her death. She knew she could take on a small group of witch hunters, but if a large group of powerful people came from the complex, she wasn't so sure she could defeat them. But that matter wasn't on her mind at the moment.

What was on her mind was the young girl she'd kidnapped that morning. This time, she was geared up to kill the girl, not just burn her severely. Elphaba was paging through the Grimmerie, looking for any good spell to use. The spells that she'd learned from Bonnie and the other witches here, she'd written down and stuck in the book. Every once in a while, she'd pull out a piece of paper and read what spell was there. As she went, she grumbled a bit, not happy that she couldn't find a spell she wanted to use. Simply burning the girl would be too easy, and she wanted something a little more creative, a little more destructive to kill her.

"Oh for Oz sakes," she grumbled. Stepping away from the Grimmerie, she started pacing back and forth, something she always did when she was agitated. She needed to think, to find a good spell. She glanced over at the girl, who was bound and gagged, sitting in a corner. Knowing that when this girl's body would be found, it would cause a ruckus and people would come to kill her, Elphaba knew she had to go out with a bang. Just then, she stopped pacing as she got an idea. She went back over to her book of spells and flipped through the pages until she got to a spell she'd gotten since being in this world. A cruel little smile curved her lips, this spell would work. She glanced over at the girl. "It won't be long now. I have the perfect spell for you." She was oblivious to the fact Galinda had found her and was all ready there. She was so focused on her plans for the girl. Startling her would be a bad idea, but most things at this time would've been a bad idea. Elphaba was a loose canon.

Receiving no response, Galinda's nerves grew worse. What if she was too late? What if Elphie was killing someone this time? It would be on Galinda's hands because she wasn't fast enough. Because her future self had told Madame Morrible and the Wizard to spread the rumor about Nessa to lure Elphie out because her fiance had run off with her best friend.... Okay, so they had taken it further than she had told them to, but if she had stayed quiet, maybe Nessa wouldn't have been killed. Oh, it hadn't been her her. It was future her, but it still count. So really? Maybe all of this was her fault anyway. Perhaps....

But no. Looking over her shoulder to where Thor was hiding, the blond took a breath and turned her attention back to the building. She could do this. She had to do this. She couldn't fail Elphie. She couldn't let her die. People would want to hurt and kill her and she couldn't let that happen. She wasn't as stupid as people thought she was. She knew that Elphie would never forgive herself for what she had done. But to dive head first into death was the easy way out and Elphie was a fighter. She always had been. She knew that Thor was right. That she couldn't expect Elphie to not hurt her. That it would hurt the witch to hurt her if she came to.... But Galinda didn't care about her physical well being. She would reach her best friend. She had to.

Opening the door, Galinda winced as it creaked but she was in. Now she just had to find where Elphie was. Though the whimpers from the terrified little girl gave Galinda pause. Another child? Why was Elphie so focused on children? She couldn't understand this... But, it wasn't Elphie. Not her Elphie. Someone had manipulated her. And for whatever reason, apparently they had issue with children. So following the sound, Galinda came to the room the two were in, eyes widening in shock.

"Elphie!" And without thinking, Galinda raced to the bound girl and began to untie her, to free her. That done, she pressed a kiss to the terrified girl's forehead to protect her from harm and had her run out before she turned to face her best friend, steeling herself for whatever Elphaba might do to her. It ended here. With words and love. Not with fighting. Not like Galinda could fight anyway, but that was irrelevant.

Elphaba was ready to cast the spell. She was just about to do so when she heard that familiar voice. She looked up and saw Galinda free the girl. Oh this wasn't how this was supposed to happen. Elphaba grew even more upset, hating Galinda's interference. This wasn't going to go well from here on out. Not that it was going to be rainbows and sunshine had Galinda not shown up, but things would go far worse than they otherwise would have. She stayed positioned at her Grimmerie, teeth clenched in anger.

"Go away." Because even in her rage and madness, her first thought was for Galinda to go away, go somewhere safe. Though if Elphaba was left to roam wild, no place would truly be safe. And she was giving the blonde one warning before she did something bad. True Elphaba would never forgive herself for what she'd done, nor would she forgive herself for hurting Galinda. But at this moment in time, neither mattered to her. All she could see was what was right in front of her, along with a tinge of red because she was in the throes of rage. A rage that was still quickly building. It was at a level she'd never felt before, even when she'd been under Wrath's influence when the Sins had infected them.

She looked at Galinda, her eyes as cold and distant as they had been when she'd killed that evil witch a couple months earlier. Everything good she'd carefully stuffed deep down inside herself, hiding it from the world. But of course Galinda had to show up, perhaps the only person who could look at Elphaba and know it was all just a cover to mask the pain she felt inside. She had to keep herself steadfast, she wouldn't let herself be snapped out of this. She would stay on this path because this is who she was now. Her friends would just have to accept it. She was the Wicked Witch of the West and she was here to stay. Well, at least until the witch hunters came en masse and killed her. Though she would at least go down with a fight. No wretched little farm girl to interrupt her plans, no escape plan. It would come down to her life or theirs. She wouldn't run, she would stand and fight and the best warrior would win.

But before that, she had to get rid of Galinda. If the blonde wouldn't leave with the one warning, then Elphaba would take things into her own hands and find another way to get rid of her. She was ignoring the voice in her head that whispered to her to stop. It had no power to stop her anymore. And it spoke volumes to her state of mind when she would use violence against her best friend, the one she loved.

Truthfully? Galinda wanted to high tail it out of there. The look in Elphie's eyes took her back to the time where she had killed the witch who had taken Bonnie. And this time it was directed towards her. She knew that Elphie was dangerous like this. She had heard of what she had done to that little girl five days previous. But she couldn't give up on Elphie. The others wouldn't give up, but if she did? It would never leave Galinda alone. She felt bad enough that she had let Elphie go off on her own when they were in the Emerald City. If she had gone, maybe things could have been different. Oh, Galinda would never be able to handle the hate that would have been sent her way as well, but maybe she could have helped Elphie if she hadn't been so afraid. Yes, she had cast the spell to bring her to her best friend and ended up in Lawrence, but that hadn't happened for Elphie....

"No."

It was a simple word, soft but it spoke volumes. Galinda wasn't going anywhere. She was terrified. She didn't know what Elphie would do to her. She should call for Thor. Maybe he could help. But no... Elphie wouldn't listen to him. She would at least listen to the blond. Or so Galinda thought.

Taking a deep breath, Galinda steeled herself for whatever might happen and started to walk towards Elphie, taking a green hand in her own pale ones. She had to believe that this would work. She was supposed to grow up to become Glinda the Good. But what sort of person would she be if she turned her back on the one person who meant the most in her life? Oh sure, she loved Fiyero and wanted him back. But she knew deep down that would never happen. And even so, Elphie was more important. She always would be.

"Please, Elphie... let it go. Let go of the pain... let me help you.."

To see Galinda so steadfast was slightly surprising to the green skinned witch. Of course, had she been in her right mind, she wouldn't have been surprised. Galinda could indeed have a backbone when she needed one. She narrowed her eyes a bit and was ready to take the next step since Galinda hadn't heeded the warning. Then the blonde was moving towards her, and taking her hand. Somewhere inside she felt a twinge of emotion at the touch, but she couldn't let it linger there. Just as quickly as she felt the twinge, she buried it under the rage she felt. She jerked her hand out of Galinda's and took a step back from her.

"Don't touch me." She hissed. She wasn't about to let go of the pain. And if Galinda wouldn't take a verbal warning, then she'd take a physical one. "You really should've left when you had the chance." She remembered a spell that shot ice shards. She chanted it and held her hand out, ice shards shooting outwards towards Galinda. While she should have cared that she was attacking her best friend, she didn't. Not at this moment. She was more focused on being left alone, left to her fate. She was acting more and more like the woman she had started turning into in Oz just before she'd gotten pulled into this world. The world that she had originally taken to be a second chance, a place where she could be good. But ever since she'd had that dream, she'd been realizing just how much like Oz this place truly was.

Elphaba wanted no part of another Oz. So there were only two outcomes. Either she'd die so she didn't have to live through another Oz, or she'd take control of the place and mold it into what she wanted it to be. And if that branded her a wicked witch, then so be it. Oz knew she'd take as many lives as were needed to achieve her goals. Though up until now, she didn't have goals aside from causing anarchy. Though at least she hadn't gone and written messages in the sky. She'd sent her message in another, far more dangerous way. And she'd continue on that same path. If she had to make an example of Galinda, then she would.

Galinda cried out in shock as she suddenly had ice being thrown at her, the cold shards cutting her skin and causing her to bleed.Thor had warned her, of course. Told her that Elphie might attack her and that doing so would only hurt the green skinned witch more. But Galinda had been naive to assume that she would be able to break through the haze of Elphie's pain before it got to this point. She hadn't realized how deep Elphie was in... She should have, burning that poor girl and seeming to be willing to kill the girl Galinda had set free. But she still had held onto the faith that Elphie wouldn't hurt her. That she'd be able to reason with her.

Even if she had offensive spells, Galinda wouldn't use them. She protected.... She should call for Thor. Put herself in a bubble and let the Thunder God help. To get Elphie somewhere that she couldn't hurt anyone but could be reasoned with. Where she could be helped. These were the things Galinda should have done, but that didn't make them the things she did. No. She was going to put up with it. Because she was Galinda.

It hurt. It hurt a lot but she wasn't going to falter. So once again, despite the constant barrage of ice shards, Galinda moved towards Elphie and just hugged her tightly.

"You don't have to be alone, Elphie. I'm right beside you."

Somehow, Elphaba managed to keep herself from fully realizing what she had just done. If she'd been in her right mind, she would have instantly stopped hurting Galinda. But then Galinda was still moving towards her. This confused her because any normal person would've gone in the other direction. Preservation of life and all. But instead, Galinda came closer to her, hugged her. Elphaba flinched, much like she had back at Shiz every time the blonde would hug her.

"No, don't touch me! Get off me!" Her tone had a slight touch of desperation to it. It was a sign that the real Elphie was still there, buried underneath the pain and rage. She was starting to respond to Galinda, and the wicked witch wasn't having this. She still had things she needed to do, a plan she had to carry out. There was no Wizard she had to fight against here, but there were others she could fight, that she would have to fight if she remained in control.

So in her desperation to get Galinda away from her, she cast the first spell that came to her mind. It was the fire spell. It gathered in her hands and she grabbed onto the blonde's upper arms, burning them and trying to pry her off of her. "Let go of me!!" All the while, she was trying to pull herself out of the blonde's grasp. She needed to get away, make Galinda go away. It was the only way she could get out of this.

Galinda didn't have pride issues in not showing her pain. Which meant that she did indeed cry out in pain as Elphie began to burn her arms. But even so, she could hear Elphie in her voice. Could tell that she was struggling. Maybe she didn't want to be in control. Maybe it was easier to let this side of her have control where she didn't have to feel the pain she was in, but Galinda couldn't let that happen. She couldn't let Elphie be killed because she was hurting and didn't know how to handle it. If she just held on, Elphie would come back. She had to believe that.

"No."

The word was said on a whimper, tears pooling in blue eyes but Galinda held on fast, her face pressed against Elphie's neck. Sweet Oz, it hurt so badly. It was blinding. But when she wanted to be, Galinda could be ridiculously stubborn and hold her own. She didn't care that she was crying. That the pain continued to get worse.

"Let me take your pain... Please, Elphie. Let me help you...."

She would keep this plea. Keep holding on until Elphie finally was back again.

The good Elphie was being prodded closer and closer to the surface as Galinda cried out in pain and kept pleading with the witch, refusing to let go. But the wicked witch was refusing to relinquish control, if only because Elphie wasn't able to handle the pain. There was also the fact that if Elphie snapped out of it now, she never would forgive herself for hurting Galinda like this. It would only solidify that she didn't deserve Galinda and that she should let her go. If she snapped out of it now, there would be nothing Galinda or Elena or Caroline or anyone could say to her that would make her think she deserved love. After this, she deserved to just rot away somewhere alone.

"Let go of me!!" Elphaba was still trying to get Galinda off of her. She finally let go of her arms, then grabbed onto her shoulders, again burning her, trying to push her away. "Get off of me, Glinda!!!" She well knew this version of the blonde went by Galinda, but when she was the wicked witch, she'd referred to her as Glinda. Still she struggled to get away from the blonde, hurting her to get her off of her. But the blonde had far more resolve than she'd thought.

Any other day and the blond would have reminded Elphie that it was Galinda. With a 'Ga'. But this was far from any other day. Today there was serious pain involved. Any normal person would let go, but Galinda wasn't normal. Especially where Elphie was concerned. Oh sure, when they first met she had been a down right bitch to the green skinned woman. Scorning her, making jokes. But then the Ozdust... she had grown and somehow, Elphie had become the most important person to her and where she was concerned....

Screaming as Elphie grabbed her shoulders, Galinda shook her head stubbornly even as she cried. She was thankful that Thor hadn't come in yet. Because somehow she felt that his presence would ruin any good she was doing. Not that she felt all that good at the moment. But he would offer a distraction and Elphie could run. And then who knew what would happen. Galinda had to keep holding on. She just had to.

"No! I'm not letting you go! I was stupid to let you go in the first place, I'm not leaving you again!"

Even if Elphie and Fiyero left her alone... even if that was in her future, Galinda wouldn't let Elphie go. She wouldn't leave her. She couldn't.

Sweet Oz, Galinda could be stubborn when she wanted to be. Elphaba needed to get the blonde off of her, to leave her alone, and it was getting clearer by the second that she'd have to actually kill her. As soon as that thought crossed her mind, Elphie clawed her way closer to the surface. Even through the layers of pain and anger, Elphie couldn't let herself kill Galinda.

"No!! Let go of me!!! Let go!!!" She still tried to pull away, tugging harder against Galinda's hold. Galinda wasn't letting go, no matter what she tried. Perhaps she'd have to try burning her more. This time instead of going for her arms, Elphaba wrapped her arms around her and burned her back, hoping this did the trick this time. If not, then she'd just have to kill Galinda to get her to let go.

Elphaba was still trying to tug herself away from Galinda's grasp, trying desperately to get away, to keep a hold on control. She could feel Elphie clawing at her, trying to get her to stop hurting Galinda, but she wasn't relinquishing control yet. She couldn't. She was doing this for their own good. They were stronger when they gave in.

"You have to let me go!!" That one was meant in direct response to what Galinda had said. But her tone was more like her normal self, proof that she was fighting herself and was hearing Galinda. Galinda was getting through, and she was almost there.

And another scream escaped Galinda. The pain in her back was even worse than her arms. But she couldn't let go. If the situation were reversed, Elphie would hold on until Galinda came to her senses and Galinda would do the same. Elphie meant too much to her to let go of. She felt like she was going to pass out, sweet Oz it was hard to stay conscious. But she couldn't let go. She couldn't. Elphie was responding. She could hear it in her voice. This was the right course. No one else would have been able to do it. Just her.

Pulling her face from the crook of Elphie's neck, the blond gave a weak smile, tears falling from her eyes because, well, it really really hurt.

"Not... letting go... Ever...."

Whimpering as the pain became too much, Galinda slumped in Elphie's arms. She wasn't dead, she was just in so much pain that her mind forced her to pass out to keep from feeling it. But it wasn't like Elphie would know that at the moment.

She had to get away from Galinda. She needed something different, something more drastic, which most likely meant killing her. So instead of going for a knife or something that would do lethal damage. She used the shards of ice spell to generate one larger, sharp icicle. She held it in one hand and was getting ready to stab Galinda with it when the blonde looked up at her with a weak smile. When the blonde went limp in her arms, Elphaba froze.

A second later, she pinched her eyes shut and shook her head a bit, then when she opened them, she looked at Galinda again. The girl was unconscious, but it seemed more like she was dead. She then looked at her left hand, which held the icicle that was pointed at Galinda. Her eyes went wide, and then she noticed the blood. "Oh Oz," she whispered as she dropped the icicle and held Galinda. "What have I done?" She fell to her knees, clutching Galinda close to her, tears welling up in her eyes.

"Galinda, wake up. Please..." She gently shook the blonde. "Please wake up..." She pleaded, her voice cracking with realization. "Oh sweet Oz....I killed her..." Elphie clung to Galinda, holding her close as she started to cry, feeling herself breaking inside. How could she doe something like this? How could she let herself go this far? In her confusion and hysteria, she hadn't realized Galinda was in fact still breathing. She clung to her and sobbed, burying her face in the blonde's neck.

There were so many things she hadn't told her, and now she never would. It killed her to know she'd done this. She'd never forgive herself for this. Oh if only she'd just stayed away from people, never made friends, maybe none of this would have ever happened. She should have shut herself away from the world after Jack had left after getting her to finally trust him and open up to him. Now? She definitely wouldn't open up ever again. She couldn't when this is what she did to the one she loved.

After a couple minutes, she pulled her head away and sat up, looking down at Galinda. It was then that she noticed the rise and fall of her chest. "Oh sweet Oz!" She glanced around for her broomstick. She spotted it not far away. She didn't know Thor was near otherwise she would have called for him to help. So instead, she would fly them home as fast as she possibly could. "It'll be okay, Galinda. Just hold on. I'll get you home, I swear." She wiped the tears from her cheeks, though they were only replaced with fresh ones.
