Resentment was an understatement. But the man she resented was not there. She was hurt by Anatoly, her heart broken by the man, she hated what he had chosen to do.... But did she resent him? No. She resented Molokov for entering their lives, for changing Anatoly from man to machine. Because that's all Anatoly was now. Oh, sure. He had shown some form of emotion during Bangkok. Had made her believe that maybe he would lose for the sakes of their daughters. Had even been angry at her, but he was angry because she wanted him to lose. Because he felt she never understood. It was Anatoly who didn't understand. All she had wanted for him was to be happy. She never wanted him to be a pawn for Molokov. Winning had made him make a fool of the KGB agent, but the cost wasn't worth it.
Smiling slightly at his words, the Russian woman folded her hair behind her ear.
"Thank you. It has been a while since I have been able to play against someone."
Oh, he wouldn't need to worry about her having a counter move for hypnosis. After all, she was no super hero. She was an ordinary woman who was just very well versed in keeping her emotions to herself unless she was with Anatoly privately. So when he reached his mind into her own, Svetlana winced and tried to fight it but it did no good. Her gaze lost it's focus, hands on her lap. She didn't speak but she did give a small nod to show that she understood. She would obey.
