The two accents warring against each other would probably prove hilarious to any natives to the town who stumbled across the conversation. Rose was still getting used to the fact that not all the people around them knew what was going on. She was used to keeping secrets; traveling in time and landing on distant planets often meant she had to keep her identity somewhat secret. But it wasn't as if she had psychic paper to cover for her anymore. Now she just had to play it safe whenever she could manage.
"Hi, Casey. I'm Rose." She extended her hand to take his, giving it a slight squeeze before hobbling back to lean on the nearest wall. "And I'll be okay. Had worse than this." He was a couple of years younger than her, give or take, and not bad looking. Shaggy, a little unkempt, but he had nice features. Shareen might have hit on him, back in the day.
She offered a shaky smile, shrugging her shoulders. "Still not sure what the hell we're all doing here, to be honest. I know the seal had its reasons, I just wish it had gone differently, is all." She hesitated, then attempted a grin. Other than the slight pulsing in her ankle, she really didn't have any reason not to be friendly. After all, the guy hadn't attempted to kill her, he'd made sure she was okay, and he was just as displaced as she was. "So, where is it you're from, Casey? And when?"
