Everything was different in 2011. Everything. Casey wasn't sure it was for the better either. He'd spent more time on a stupid computer in the past two days then he had in his entire life. Computers bored him to tears. Donatello was always trying to explain the latest in technological advancements to him, but it was rare he actually listened without zoning out. So it was time to get up and explore. He wasn't going to learn anything by staying behind that glowing nerd box. Casey Jones was more of a hands on guy. He needed to experience life to understand it. Technology only served on purpose, to make him feel inferior. Or so he thought.
So what if he didn't know that you weren't supposed to write out how you spoke? Dumbass kid. With his bag of hockey equipment swung over his left shoulder, he got a good look at the city. Compare to New York, it was small. Uncomfortably small even. Casey didn't like enclosed places, he was horribly claustrophobic. Lucky for Rose, that meant he was going off exploring as well. Trying to find more open space, or possibly some bad guys that needed bashing. Either one would have been acceptable at this point.
Since he'd arrived he hadn't knocked a single head. It was getting very old very fast. Casey ran a hand through his hair as he walked street after street. It was clean compare to his home town of Manhattan. On a normal day, he could find thugs breaking into a corner store, or drinking in public, drugs being handed out to kids, here there was nothing like that. Just the occasional loitering kids. He sighed. This was going to be great. How much more boring could one town get?
He was lost in his annoyed thoughts when he heard a feminine, startled voice and raised an eyebrow. "Uh..Hey, you need some help?" While most might have just turned the other cheek and walked away, that wasn't who Casey was. On the outside he might have seemed a brute caveman type, but deep down he was sensitive and caring. Deep, deep down.
