Jessica really didn't understand why she had to make the promise that she had. Sure some people weren't happy with their appearance, but she'd never had to promise someone that she would try not to look at them before. As it was she was trying not to think on it too much on it. She didn't want to make any assumptions. It could just be that he was eccentric. That was just as likely as anything else. Either way, Jessica was more than happy that she could at least help a little bit.
After what she'd let out during the whole...truth thing she had been trying to be useful. She'd been trying to do things that made her feel better about where she was too. It wasn't exactly easy, but she was working at it--and happily so. She was helping out in the infirmary with Dr. Tam, she was steadily making more friends, and she was trying to help new people. She was settling in...that was for sure.
Jessica had been in the infirmary when she'd seen the comm post. She had been steadily trying to familiarize herself with everything there. And when she'd seen the post she couldn't help but try and help....and that's why she was standing at the front door of the complex. Standing inside, that is, you never knew here, it seemed. Jessica was leaning against the front door when she heard the sound of the motorcycle a moment before she saw it.
Pushing away from the door, the blond looked down at the ground. She really wanted to try and keep her promise to the guy. Her hair fell forward slightly, but she ignored it in favor of pushing the front door open a bit and taking a step out, holding the door open slightly. "Kyle?" She called out, wanting to be sure.
