WHO: Kyle Kingston and Jessica Moore WHAT: Meeting, getting an amulet, and trying not to be seen. WHEN: Either late night 6/16 or early, early in the AM of 6/17. WHERE: The main complex lobby. WARNINGS: ANGST.
Kyle wasn't sure why he agreed to stop by that complex place. There was a big risk of being seen and, seriously, that was one thing he didn't want to go through. Sure, that Jessica chick was being pretty nice so far, but that would change the second she saw him. He was sure of it. She'd see him and decide he was a hideous monster that no one should ever talk to. He was disgusting. He shouldn't exist. And then she'd tell everyone about him.
This was what he expected of people. This was why he couldn't let anyone see him.
But at the same time it had been months since he'd talked to anyone besides his dad (via the phone only), his maid, and that fucking blind tutor his dad had sent to the house earlier that day. Yeah. A blind tutor. His dad was even too ashamed to let people see him. Then again, that was obvious. When they'd gone to that doctor his dad seemed like he'd rather let Kyle die than let him live as a hideous monster.
Still. Kyle was actually going to speak to someone. In person. And probably not for long. Hopefully without the chick seeing what he looked like behind that helmet. Apparently there was some kind of amulet that he needed for some stupid reason. Demons or some shit. At least he already came to terms with the fact magic existed, he kinda had to since, you know, he ended up cursed and everything. Fuck he hated Kendra.
It only took a few minutes to get to the complex, thank god for GPS on his phone. He drove almost up to the front door itself, wanting to take as few chances as possible when it came to people seeing in his face plate, before parking the bike and climbing off.
Why couldn't this have happened during the daytime? he thought to himself as he made his way towards and into the building. At least if it had been daytime magic he would have the tinted face plate instead of the clear one.
