Leela was trying to figure out just how this girl had gotten into the TARDIS. Had the Doctor let her in, and she'd wandered around until she found herself here? It was hard to say, but the Doctor worked in strange ways. There were times when Leela had such a hard time figuring the man out. Perhaps he'd thought she could use a new friend? No, this wasn't how he was. The Doctor would've been here himself. This whole thing was utterly confusing. And then the girl was babbling about doctors and cutting and other things that Leela didn't quite understand. Roll a dice? Spin a wheel? Where did those come up in the conversation? Oh Leela didn't understand the references, and while she tried, her brain just couldn't grasp why the girl was talking about them. So, she did one of the two things she usually did when she didn't understand something; she ignored it.
"The Doctor does help, he helps people in trouble all the time. He has stopped wars and righted wrongs. He does not hurt people. In fact, he does not even carry a weapon." Hopefully this girl would understand that, or at least Leela hoped so. If the girl made random references, Leela didn't know how much she could take. But then there was a question, a simple question that Leela actually had an answer for. "We are inside the TARDIS. It is the Doctor's travel machine." Though anything more specific than that, Leela couldn't really explain. It was Time Lord technology, something beyond her understanding. However, she knew it moved through time and space, and it was bigger on the inside. But the whole theory behind it seemed so silly to her. "It can travel through time and space. Though it has changed since I last saw it. The swimming pool was not always in here, it was in another room."
