Who - Romana, The Doctor, Star, Andrew Wells
What - Making a Weapon
Where - The TARDIS
When - Early Evening
Rating - Low
Status -  In Progress

Confusing the Dalek long enough to disable it hadn't been easy. But that Romana had watched happen, the young redheaded witch orbing the foul creature from the casing long enough to kill it and leave the casing dorment. But now they had more to deal with. They had, within the TARDIS itself, the outer casing of a Dalek, and currently the Time Lady was holding quite a heavy piece of its exoskeleton in her hands curiously.

"I suppose its possible to create some kind of...pulse wave...shut them all down.... Or a gun, a very big and impressive gun we give to someone like your Captain friend or those Slayers. See if we can't get all the Daleks to form one attack and then its a,,,whats the phrase,..fish in a barrel. Which I don't understand, why exactly would anyone put fish in a barrel. It doesn't seem like it would be healthy for them at all in there. Though if they're being shot at I doubt thats much of a concern. Maybe the others will have more idea"

Star and the Andrew boy, both from other dimensions, both with experiances and ideas that she and the Doctor might not have considered. It was most definitely worth a shot.

"You should probably make them tea, me as well if you're planning to. You do make rather good tea you know and I expect they'll need it after walking inside. How much do you bet they both have 'bigger on the inside' moments. It never gets old does it, watching reactions. Romana remembered all the various stories the Doctor had told her, and some she had seen herself. The reaction to the TARDIS from the visitors would be a small bit of entertainment in the midst of all the horror of the Daleks. She'd take it.

Star hadn't been entirely sure what a police box was, but figured she'd know it when she saw it if it was blue and about where Romana said it would be. She wasn't wrong, the thing had been easy to spot. She had her wrench, which was quickly becoming a sort of combination talisman and security blanket, and a small toolkit that she'd been working on gathering since her arrival.

She blinked as she stepped inside, one brow arching, leaning back out the door, just to verify that she'd seen, that the thing really was smaller on the outside.

She verified this twice, before shrugging and padding inside, whistling a 'yoo-hoo' of greeting.

The Doctor couldn't help frowning a bit as he listened to Romana talk about creating a gun. Really, it was what they had discussed, what they had come up with to do with the Dalek casing should they actually get one, but none the less he didn't like the fact that she could be so... fine with this. Another old companion turned soldier because of him. He already knew how she was in some ways, after the order she had given him to stop the Time War should it come to that. But it didn't mean he liked it.

"All you ever want when you come here is tea," he said, a slightly exasperated tone to his voice. He reached up to rub at his eyes for a moment before hearing the door swing open, then turned to look at the woman who'd shown up.

At least her double take made him grin a bit. "I'm guessing you're Star, right? You don't look like an Andrew to me. Hullo, I'm the Doctor, and this is the TARDIS. And yes, she's bigger on the inside."

She smiled at that, her bundle of tools tucked into the crook of an arm, wrench in the hammer loop on her coverall. She tugged a notepad and a pen out of the front pocket, writing out a quick note before holding it up to him, tucking the pen behind her ear: You sure? I thought it was smaller on the outside.

Her handwriting was much like she was, compact and tidy.

Romana grinned at the complaint about her wanting tea again. "Yes well that is your fault not mine. You introduced me to the stuff"

She turned her attention back to the piece of Dalek shell in her hand until the door opened to admit the young girl she could only presume was Star, This was quickly confirmed by the Doctor who seemed most amused about the TARDIS reaction.

The notepad and pen was a strange addition but she quickly got used to it.

"Come and have a look at this" she called across to them both "I think it could be what shields them, if it is and we put it on the gun they can't destroy it right?"

The Doctor hadn't been expecting the notepad either, but it didn't bother him. He tended to be good at going with things that were unexpected. Or, most of the time he was. "Well, I suppose you could put it that way," he said with a quick grin.

Pulling his glasses out of his pocket, he quickly made his way over to Romana and slipped them on. "You could be right about that," he said after looking it over, then pulled out his screwdriver. After a couple of quick zaps to one area he let out a small sigh. "They really did a good job deadlocking this thing, didn't they? Even a couple of the parts are deadlocked on the inside. But, at least it's not all deadlocked everywhere."

Star smiled as well, she couldn't help it, really, even at a time like this. She followed quietly in the Doctor's wake, tilting her head and watching the process, finally shaking her head and unrolling her tool bundle, picking out what amounted to an emergency lock pick set, arching both brows and tilting her head towards the Dalek part, it was her version of a 'may I?'

"Deadlock seals" she explained to Star nodding along with the Doctor's assessment. "Bloody typical, they, well they can't be unlocked, not even by us and it will just make it that much harder because now we have to work around them."

She handed the piece to Star picking up the weapon she had disattached from the Dalek.

"Can't defend against their own tech, well thats very them isn't it. we just need to make the weapon strong enough that whoever weilds it has a chance, I'd say Jack or the Slayers are the best choice. That Buffy girl?"
