Jessica had noticed the other woman earlier in the night, but hadn't wanted to bother her. She had seemed like she was really in some sort of zone. It was pretty easy to tell that something was up with her. Jessica noticed because she was observant, and most of the time she was pretty good with people. That was part of the reason she had chosen the direction she had in college. She liked to deal with people, but she hadn't just wanted to be a nurse. She wanted more of a challenge than that, wanted to make more of a difference than that. It got everything that she really wanted in her life. Anyway, that was why she noticed the other blond in the first place.
The reason she talked to her was a whole other game. Jessica couldn't help but talk to others. She had done it when she and Sam were together. She had always been the type that was friendly to those around her. The other woman seemed a little bit like she'd been through the mill. She was drinking scotch and that was a pretty hefty drink. Then again, so was tequila and that had been Jess' poison. Drinking wasn't the way to solve problems, but man if it didn't help for just a little bit of time. Jess could related to having had a bit of a rough night, or few days in general, it was where she was at.
Jessica smiled, in a friendly manner, at the other woman. "You're not too transparent, it might just be that I can read people sometimes. Plus I sort of know the feeling and look of feeling rough." Jessica said, moving to sit next to the woman. "The scotch was also a bit of a clue too."
