"Well, you have a point there." It was true. Leaving Elphie's house had been interesting with all of the military people around trying to get people to their respective locations and making sure no one was injured by the bugs. Making sure the bugs were truly gone. It had been a hassle getting back, but the two had managed and Elena was thankful for that. She couldn't imagine how Damon would do if they had been detained.
Flushing slightly as Damon reached over, Elena looked down. After all, it could just be the fever that was raging within her body and had nothing to do with the proximity that the vampire had on Elena. Because that was just foolish. She wasn't like Elphie, Elena was perfectly capable of being close to Damon without turning into some sort of fool. So it really did have to be the fever. Which was annoying because it was proof that this was more than a cough.
Hearing the comment about Damon being the best nurse ever, Elena just smirked and quirked a brow.
"Really now? I won't believe it until I see it." After all, Damon didn't seem the type to have the patience to nurse someone back to health. Not that Elena wanted to burden Damon with that anyway. Reaching over to the bed stand, Elena picked up her mug of tea and sipped it.
