Elena wanted to protest. After all, what was wrong with a cough? It was annoying, sure, but it was just a cough. Right? That was what the brunette thought, at least. But she was being nudged to her room and Elena could really only walk there, holding her tea to her, sipping it occasionally to soothe her throat. She wasn't sure just what Damon had in mind, but he seemed concerned for her well being even if he was smirking. Could it be more than a cough?
Once they were in her room and Damon had pulled her covers back, Elena sighed.
"Really Damon, it's just a cough, I'm fine...." Of course at that moment, another coughing attack hit, enough to cause the doppelganger to sway and her vision to blur once the coughing had subsided. "Or not...."
Admitting defeat, Elena sat on the bed and placed her mug on the bed stand so that she could pull the covers up. She really hated bed rest. It was boring. She had hated it after the car accident, of course then she was also feeling guilt so she'd been left to brood, but she was still not looking forward to spending an undetermined amount of time.
