Still civil. This was good. Maybe it would stay that way and they could forget all about what had happened until...well, it happened again. As much as Clark would have liked to claim that they were always going to somewhat get along, he knew better than to reach the conclusion that they would never fight again. They were Clark and Andrea, after all. Not saints. Or miracle workers, for the most part.
"I'm good." He switched the bag from one arm to the other, shrugging with the gesture. "I just got off work, actually. Had a hard time getting that last box of asparagus sold, so I was kept back until it got taken care of." He paused and shrugged again. "It was getting ready to turn," he explained, "I had to get it out of the store before we had to either toss or reduce it and you know how they get about either option."
Talking about work was a good start. They could relate. Sort of.
