What was that saying again? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned? Really, Jaina was overreacting. It wasn't like he led her on or anything. All he had done was spend time with her, treat her nicer than the usual victim, talk to her every now and then, and then ditch her when the going got tough. Which was perfectly acceptable! If he had to choose between dying and sticking around to fight the good fight with everyone else just because it would please her, then Gabe was going to be more than happy to exit stage right. As much as he found Jaina fun to be around, he very much found living even more fun. Whether or not she agreed with him really didn't matter. Except it kind of did and now, of all things, she was standing there force-throwing rocks at his head with Sam Winchester. Like he could really find any way to make this situation any more humiliating than it already was.
"I can't believe you're reducing yourself to the attack methods of a cavewoman, but I guess today is the day for everyone here to be surprised, isn't it?" Gabriel folded his arms over his chest and glared at Jaina, as if he actually dared her to throw those rocks she was hovering at him. She wouldn't.
"I can believe it," Sam piped up, scooping up another rock into his palm. Rather than giving it another throw, he tossed it up into the air and caught it. He couldn't deny that he was enjoying this a little, underneath all the actual terror and concern that he was battling now that he had successfully managed to piss of the Trickster. It didn't seem like he was going to do anything yet and, from the looks of it, since he seemed to have some kind of personal thing going on with Solo over there, maybe he wouldn't be bothered to try today.
Though Sam knew that would have been naive for him to believe, so he cast a longing look over his shoulder at Ruby's car, half wishing he was coward enough to hop in and drive away while the Trickster was distracted. Unfortunately, he wasn't. Sam wanted to make sure that Jaina actually got out of this thing as alive as he hoped he personally was going to, so he lingered behind, watching the two go at each other.
