The little kitten he'd rescued was doing quite well in their cozy new apartment. It was curious and warm. It was also a little mischievous. Anakin had left out a box of tools and returned a few minutes later from his bedroom to find the little critter stuck under the neck of a hammer. At first he made a scoffing noise at it, but then he softened and used the Force to lift the hammer off of it's small body. "You need to stop picking fights with things that are much larger. " He mused at her. He wondered if his mother had named her yet, but he hadn't rushed to ask. He didn't want to force her to chose something she didn't think was suitable. Sometimes little creatures took time to find the perfect name.
Anakin remembered some of the pets Jacen had around the Academy, he didn't think they required time for name picking but his brother thought otherwise. He supposed that's what happened when one had an affinity for animals. They were all connected and nothing less then perfection would do. Then he thought of Daisy. What on Earth had possessed Allana to chose a name like Daisy for that type of dog? It was so wary and suspicious of others, it didn't seem like a Daisy to him. Then again he never had an attachment to an animal before. Not like this little one. She had been all alone on the street when he found her.
Who could leave something like that on the side of the road in a box. A box didn't really provide that much safety if it started to rain. Or what if someone knocked the box over, the kitten would have been in the street. He was decidedly not a fan of whoever was cruel and heartless enough to abandon the little thing. He held her in his hand and watched her squirm and try to chew his fingers. It felt more like sucking though since she didn't have all her teeth. She was testing how things tasted, and Anakin smirked. He tested the limits too, maybe that was why he felt a bond.
The house was mostly quiet that morning, and honestly Anakin welcomed it..quiet was good. The speedway with Tahiri had been loud and exciting, and Anakin wanted to race cars more then ever but that many people with so many thoughts had given him a migraine. Maybe one day soon he'd get to ride in one, as soon as Tahiri stopped freaking out.
