First there was a web site that pretty much told the world about her, even if the story about herself was all wrong, and the one about Clark was so far into the future she couldn't tell if it was the truth. Now some guy who said he knew her from the Outsiders was here. She might have been lying when she said she had never heard of it. The truth was, she had read about it on a wikipedia page. This girl, who was her, but at the same time, wasn't, had been part of this team for two point five seconds. But she wasn't willing to admit it. She didn't know or trust this guy. But it gave her something to think about. There was a girl out there who was 16, had her identity, and was some sort of Superhero.
What the hell?
She'd been freaked out enough when the costume attached to the photo of the girl had matched the outfit she had created earlier, and now it was securely shoved into the back of her closet. She was on Earth again, with no need for it. Because she couldn't be anyone else by Kara Kent, human.
After slipping on a blue sweater over her red tank top, she slipped on a pair of black flip flops, straightened out her jeans, and headed out of her motel for a while. After she had walked a few blocks, making sure no one was watching, she ducked into a ally, and then her feet left the ground. She floated up into the air, keeping to the shadows, not wanting anyone to see her, even if her powers were all over the internet.
When she was at the top of the building, her feet touched the edge, and then she jumped down onto the rooftop. Kara tilted her head up, her eyes looking to the stars. As much as she loved the sun, she liked the stars as well, it was the only thing that reminded her of home. The days of Krypton were filled with red suns, much closer to the planet.
Sighing, she walked to the opposite side of the building, and then sat herself down on the ledge. So far, she was not liking this reality in the least bit.
