Kon didn't know what else to do to convince Clark that he was who he was, but he was tired of pushing. So he had let it all go. He let Clark have his denial and just lived on his own. It was strange and uncomfortable but he managed. His place wasn't exactly the most beautiful if looked at, but hey he was just a teenage boy. One who didn't have a roommate to worry about or any of that nonesense. Being around Clark for him was awkward too. Clark didn't know him. Plain and simple. Now he had to introduce himself all over again to someone who didn't even believe he was possible entirely.
"I didn't chose to be like this. " He didn't chose to exist. " It isn't like it's a ton of fun having to lie to everyone every second of the day about who I really am. " He probably didn't have to in that world where people had power, but he still did. Force of habit he supposed. Will to survive added in. He was afraid to tell most people who and what he was. Especially after how Clark had initially reacted. Would he be shunned or left alone? Those were two of his fears. The boy had issues, and the whole family heritage thing hadn't helped him at all to deal with them. He was worried that just maybe someone would get the idea in their head to google his name and see exactly who he was. Sure, he'd told them he was Conner Kent but did that really help much? What if they typed in Conner Kent and found Clark Kent as a relation and Superman from there. They would discover he wasn't human. Not entirely anyway.
"You sure? Who knows. I could end up snapping and going crazy and all. " He stated with a side glance in Clark's direction. He was still judging him. His reaction to that was vital, Kon was worried about whether or not Clark thought of him as Luthor's weapon, or a problem. He couldn't read minds after all.
