Who: Sherry and Jacob
What: Sherry making up for being a bitch to Jacob
Where: Unnamed  pub in town
When: 3/25 noon
Rating: Not too high but violence and gore might be mentioned

Sherry was a little nervous about what she was doing, it wasn't that she was breaking any laws, it was just talking to a reporter, even if he wasn't from her world and the situation wasn't to play down the threat of the viruses... Though she owed Jacob for her cruel trick, so she was going to give him a story.  Yeah it would out her, but she was careful, the situation with Sarah hadn't been her control, and the one other time she had lost blood she had managed to destroy the virus at least.  Last thing she wanted was an outbreak here.

The pub chosen wasn't that far of a walk from the complex.  She highly doubted there were ears around the complex, but this was something that screamed small pub, a few beers, and the whole cheesy detective story vibe, so she'd play up to it.  Seeing she was there first she took a seat so she could see the rest of the pub and ordered a drink while she waited.  The laptop she had bought wasn't that powerful, but it would serve the purposes she needed it for, which at the moment was glancing at the files she had gotten from the Alaska compound right before appearing here in Lawrence.  Something had felt wrong to her about the mission to start with, and since it was calm she figured may as well try to see what the scientists were doing.  It wouldn't be hard to switch tot he files she wanted to show Jacob anyway.

Seeing Jacob she took another sip of her beer as she stood raising her hand to show him where she was.  "Hope it wasn't too hard to find the place."

He would've gotten there more on time, but Jacob actually passed out again after attending to his failure of a post to the board and only woke up an hour before when he was supposed to meet her.

Pub or no pub, the older man walked in with a cup of coffee. Whoever owned the place could yell at him to get rid of it all they wanted, but he wasn't about to do that until it was completely gone. The stuff was beginning to become his clutch in life to keep him going. Someone should really just make an injection of it into his veins with the way he'd been downing it.

Fixing his bag which had his tape recorder, camera, and a note book at his side; Jacob approached where she was and shook his head. "Not at all. I'm pretty good with directions after being around once or twice." Not in this world, that is. In his world he was wonderful with directions. In Kansas, he was just slowly catching on to the little hints of what was where.

She chuckled a little and nodded to the bench across from her. "Good, this place reminds me a little of some of the places I liked back in school. The food's probably a little worse than you'd get in London, but it's not an american grease pit." She figured she'd let him get settled before she handed him the files.

"You know that stuff's bad for you." Though she was drinking a beer before noon, so who was she to really talk, other than the fact the beer was cold, and her immune system instantly dealt with the alcohol. "Here, this is something from my world. I can give you bare basics, up to you to decide if it's better than lizardmen." She slid the laptop over so he could look at it.

He sat across from her, taking the bag’s sling off and letting it sit on the floor at his side. “Honestly, I’m not picky anymore. I’m happy with whatever I find lately.” Mostly because he was supposed to be a big old nothing back in his own world, thanks to an ancient landmark.

“Maybe, but it keeps me going when I don’t sleep.” Jacob gave a slight chuckle at the mention of lizardmen. That prospect would've been wonderful for his sight to catch some attention. He looked at the screen quietly, eyes just quickly looking over the information. "Okay. What exactly am I looking at?"

She nodded a little sipping at her beer again. "I try to hunt out local places, you get more of a detail on the locale." She stretched a little.

"Hopefully this doesn't add to sleepless nights." She let him look it over a moment. "To put it in layman's terms, Zombies. Not from this world, it's people infected with a virus that was supposed to be pretty much the cure all for everything, instead it became a plague overnight. My own father was one of the ones responsible for it." She would leave Leon out as much as possible. "I can give you all but the genetic coding of the virus, I don't think that should be anywhere but with the few people who have survived and trusted medical staff. Hope you understand."

"No, no, I get it." Jacob looked over the information on the screen with pure fascination. Even if he was more interested in the fringe-type sciences in his past few years, this one brought out his normal interest. "So he created this? From scratch or from something else?" Everything came from somewhere, Jacob knew as much.

After a moment of looking it over, he pushed the laptop back towards her. "To be honest, I wouldn't even put this much up. Skeletal minimum maybe, but this isn't something to share with everyone else." He saw what happened when people got their hands on something big - it happened to Joseph and look where it got him.

"It originally was based off a cave dwelling plant somewhere in Africa. My father was part of a team that was trying to find a use for it." She looked down. "He and the other scientists learned they could make more money off weapons with it." She tapped a few keys opening up the footage, it had been stolen from one of the labs after Umbrella had crumbled, and showed footage from Raccoon. "This was aired after the first outbreak, when the public didn't know what was going on yet." She showed him the stills from it. "And trust me I already edited a lot out of these files for you. The town never existed here, I checked that last night, and as well as the coding, I kept the names of the survivors." Because she didn't want Leon to be questioned, he had enough on his mind at the moment. "You read through the information I did leave in, reads more like a cheesy horror movie script."

"Besides, those are easy to deal with, and none of that strain's here. There's another one that is... unfortunately I don't have footage of that strain, the only people that did back home kept it too well guarded," She looked down. "Because they wanted to try to control it, the only one to survive with the strain proved to be a lousy weapon." At least that's what they said when they thought she wasn't listening.
