Entry tags:james sirius potter, rose weasley

WHO: James S. Potter, Rose Weasley, Ron Weasley
WHAT: Harrassing Ron of course. Duh!
WHEN: Backdated to Sunday afternoon (not to interfere with Dalek hunting! search and .. something)
WHERE: The Apartment Complex
RATING: PG-13. I mean, Molly Weasley might TRY but these are genetic Weasleys. Potty mouths will be had.
STATUS: Closed/In Progress

It was with an indifferent posture, James leaned against the wall near his cousins door. With two sharp raps, he knocked on Rose's door, waiting for her to answer it. Sure, he could have simply apparated into her bedroom. But James respected people's privacy. Mostly. Sort of. There were moments where this was true. If'd been Al or Hugo or Fred or Louis or ... well, if it'd been any of them, he'd have just went in. It's not like they didn't have anything he didn't have (mature mindset for a twenty year old, wasn't it?). Plus there was the added fact that neither were as painful in immediate retaliation as Rose was. Or Lily-Lu. Not to mention in the form of retaliation in the near (or not so near) future. James really didn't want to spend the next month looking over his shoulder, only to let his guard down and be viciously attacked by his cousin, simply because he couldn't wait a few minutes for her to come out.

Want to guess how many years it'd taken James to learn this actual lesson?

No matter. As it was clear he hadn't learned much, since he was already straightening himself and knocking harder on Rose's door. "Oi! Rose! Are you in there?"

"Just a bloody second!" she called from her place as she grabbed her jacket from her bedroom, and then her messenger bag that she tossed over her shoulders. Checking to make sure she had what she wanted and needed, she double checked for her wand, and then headed to the door. Throwing it open, she stepped outside and looked up at James.

Their relationship as cousins was often strained, but they were stuck with each other here. At least they somehow managed to not kill each other anymore, though she would easily hex him if he deserved it. Maybe the idea that neither of them were ever getting back home made it easier not to completely hate each other all the time.

"So how much do you think we'll piss him off for this random drop in?" she mused, shutting the door behind her. It had been a while since she'd seen the younger version of her dad. She tried to get involved with their lives, they were so young, she didn't want to mess things up and not get born. Tucking her hands into her thin green jacket, she started to head toward Ron's room.

James' thinking process tended to be a bit, okay a lot, more straightforward than Rose's. In fact, so much so, that if one wanted to be cruel (or maybe just honest) one could even call it simple. Which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, it was just that his mindset tended to be so black and white, the peripheral barely ever bothered him. There was nothing particularly difficult to him about the whole 'younger version' of his aunt and uncle. They were what they were, which were his godparents, who he loved ... just younger. See? Nothing difficult. Which might have been why he'd taken Ron's previous twattiness particularly hard. Because his Uncle Ron wasn't supposed to act that way. It wasn't that he didn't understand, James tended to be slow but despite how many times Rose and Albus might claim different, he didn't suffer from any mental afflictions. Other than being a tunnel-vision, stubborn, arse.

"Of course he will." James grin was wide, and completely unrepentant. He was ... adjusting. He could adjust. Sometimes. Certain-very rare-moments. Anywho, he'd made peace with the fact that fine this Ron, while technically while still being his uncle, wasn't his Uncle Ron, by the fact that he could certainly get away with doing more to this version that he couldn't get away with doing to the older version. Not that he considered ever doing anything to his. Much. Anyways. Rarely ever. The fact that this version, while accepted as family, was still a git. And thus, it'd be amusing to see how long it too his brain to implode.

It was all out of love of course. Honestly, if uncle Ron could deal with his uncle George younger ... and with uncle Fred, then he could deal with Rose Weasley and James Sirius Potter. Maybe.

"It's said somewhere during family dinner that our sacred duty as Weasley's is to piss each other off as much as possible. Or at least to piss off the common prat." The word was said affectionately enough. "Your dad wins by default." Because he certainly hadn't done anything prattish. And Rose tended to be more gittish that prattish.

Of course he will. Well, that was the truth. She managed to piss off Ron in her own time all the time, so it wouldn't even be hard to piss him off here. Actually, she was pretty sure this Ron still probably he thought she was a Gryffindor like 99% of her family save for Albus. She wasn't sure how quickly she wanted to go about correcting him on that. The last thing she needed was for him to start yelling at her for being who she was. Again. At least her mom was here. Even if she was possibly Rose's age or younger.

So very wrong.

"Everyone has said that somewhere during family dinner." she pointed out. They seemed to live to torment each other as much as possible. At least when it came down to it, they'd still stick by each other when it really mattered. Or so she figured. It wasn't like she ever had to fight anyone seriously, but she was pretty sure if she did, they'd be fighting a Weasley/Potter army.

"That depends on the situation." she said, matter-of-factly. "Sometimes Percy wins by default." their uncle was also a giant prat at times. Depending on what the situation was. "Or you." she added with a bit of a smug smirk. Sometimes she thought James was way to much like Ron. Maybe their personalities had been switched.

Reaching Ron's door, Rose raised one hand and knocked- in a pattern of knocks that ended up being her knocking the tune out to the song that was stuck in her head, just to be annoying.
