"But the future isn't set in stone. After all, you were surprised to see me, so I wasn't in that future. Nor was Sweets, or the people who have shown up since I did. Obviously it can change." That made sense. After all, nothing was set in stone, "The only thing that doesn't change is the past. It's already happened. But things are different now than they were when you saw the future, so logically it's safe to assume that that particular future will not occur." Who was to say the future with them would be better, but she knew for a fact that, whatever Booth had seen, it wouldn't be the same.
As they arrived at the diner, Brennan gave a small smile of thanks to Booth and stepped in, following him to the table. She wasn't surprised by the comment on missing Wong Fu's. She missed it, too. To have whatever she wanted just appear in front of her without having to order. It was strange, but it was familiar and comfortable. Already knowing what she was getting, Brennan waited until the waitress came by and then she spoke up.
"Coffee, please?" Who knew what sort of pie Booth would want, and it would be emasculating to order for him. So it was up to him to order his own food.
