Tish couldn’t help but laugh a little at Sherry’s suggestion. She nodded emphatically, agreeing completely.
“There’s nothing chocolate ice cream can’t fix.” She smiled a little. It wasn’t true, of course. There were bad things that were so stubborn nothing could erase them or the memories of their existence. To keep the mood pleasant, though, Tish struggled to seem more upbeat than she actually was.
“Good,” Tish said in regard to Sherry not telling Leon what had been going on with her cravings. “I’m pretty sure most guys won’t tolerate a cat-killer as a girlfriend.” She frowned glumly, but eyed Sherry inquisitively when she brought up their, meaning Sherry and Leon’s, world. Tish knew the basics but had never pressed too hard for details. It didn’t seem like a topic anyone would want to elaborate on.
“You seem like you’re doing alright.” She remarked in an almost tentative way. She didn’t want to jinx any possibility that Sherry was doing well.
