Who: The Doctor and Jack Harkness
What: Hunting Daleks! Ah, old times.
When: Friday night.
Rating: TBD

The Doctor was on the hunt. No, that wasn't exactly unheard of, far from it, in fact. It's what he had spent most of his life doing, hunting out the bad guys and helping the people that needed to be helped. Or, he helped them if he could, which was most of the time if one was being perfectly honest. Every so often there was someone that the Doctor was simply unable to save, but more often there were events that he wasn't allowed to stop.

But this time it wasn't written in stone. There were Daleks on Earth and that was never supposed to happen, no matter how far forward or back he went in the time stream. It wasn't the first time he'd come across them on Earth though. He'd put a stop to it here several times already, and the last time he thought he had put a stop to it for all time. But somehow he had been wrong. So he was out looking for them, hoping he could find where they were holed up, if nothing else. Luckily, he had his sonic screwdriver on him and it was tuned to try and track their signal. It didn't always work, but as the Doctor made his way down a busy Lawrence street, he certainly hoped it would work this time.

The number one thing Jack Harkness never wanted to hear about or find over here in the states were Daleks. However, as was always the case with Jack Harkness and that annoyingly stupid thing called 'luck' was that it always seemed to not do what he wanted it to. Which was why Jack was grumbling and in a less than pleased mood: there were Daleks.

Here.

Joy, rapture, and all that jazz.

Jack wasn't sure what was being done about the Daleks, hell -- he was too far out of the loop on far too many things. Christ. Which was why Jack was out to see what could be done. While part of him knew there was nothing to be scared of any longer -- Jack still inherently feared the Daleks and probably always will. Webley loaded, he headed out to see what he could see.

The Doctor had been paying far more attention to his screwdriver than to where he was walking. That was why as he quickly turned a corner he nearly collided with someone. His head shot up, ready to apologize to whoever it was he just about walked into, but that went out the door when he saw Jack.

"Romana told me you were around here," he said with a grin. Jack could be useful in a fight with Daleks. They could zap him all they wanted and he'd keep getting right back up.

Okay, well, Jack might not like that too much, as it would probably hurt anyway, getting your nervous system destroyed over and over and all that. But the Doctor wasn't always known to have the... kindest of ideas.
