Fine. Sam said they'd be let go and they would be. As long as they played nice and walked away. If they made a move on Sam she'd rip them apart and not feel a single second of remorse. In truth she should probably be more worried about that than she was. But for Sam she'd do anything she needed to. She watched her husband, gun pointed at the woman and noted every signal he sent her. He was ready to let them go and all Ruby needed was the word of the Hunters that they'd leave them be. That they'd walk away. And whatever she'd done to the woman had helped. She didn't have a weapon now, and morality aside they weren't stupid. They weren't about to force Sam's hand here.
And finally he spoke. "Alright fine" he said sharply. "Left pocket. I have a knife there, and a gun at my back" Ruby quickly worked to remove both weapons, her knife still pressing against the mans throat. Once he was weaponless Ruby stepped back, pushing him back across to his woman. Sam's gun still trained on them both. They called her a freak and Sam reacted like Ruby had known he would. Like he always did. She moved to stand beside him, running a hand along the arm not holding the gun. It would be better if he didn't have to kill them, that anger would find another outlet, she'd see to it.
"Get out of here" she told the pair, "Forget everything you saw here, forget you saw Sam at all" she added, wondering would her fun little trick work twice. With a glance to each other and then to Sam and Ruby they backed off. Walking away. Backing away really and very much not wanting to turn their backs on them. And finally, eventually, they were out of sight and Ruby let herself relax. She wrapped her arms around Sam in an attempt to calm him. He would need to be calmed.
"They're gone baby" she told him, tipping up on her toes to kiss him if he was willing to. She knew how he got about stuff like this, threats to himself. To her. And she understood how it felt. They were always gonna have to do this. Always gonna have to be wary because of who they were, what she was and what they'd done. She understood that, they both did. But at the same time she wasn't ashamed of being who she was. Sam had taught her not to be. He'd taught her that she wasn't just a monster. And she really hoped that he believed that about himself too.
"We have a hunt to finish." she told him, looking over at the shovel and knowing that kissing him and calming him probably wasn't condusive to freeing their house from ghosts. They'd work it out, and they'd hopefully never see those two again. Though Ruby was pretty sure life wasn't that easy. "You okay?" she asked him as she glanced back up at the house. Their house. Their home.
