"I'm gonna go with the moron comment," Sam told her, grinning. Haunted property? Yeah, the real estate agent definitely thought that they were a pair of morons. Knowing that brought on a slight sense of smugness that Sam couldn't keep from showing as he began to walk. Given the circumstances, the agent was the one who was going to walk out of this deal the moron. But he wasn't ever going to figure that part out. As far as he was concerned, he was screwing two people into something that they'd be in way over their heads for, all the while getting rid of something that he wanted absolutely nothing to do with. As far as Sam saw it, it was a win/win situation all around. They'd be getting a home, the real estate agent would be getting the hell away from this nightmare, and any other former parties who might have been interested in buying the place out would be saved, considering that Sam and Ruby were about to take care of their little ghost problem. "If you really think you can get us this place cheap, then I'm all for it. But, uh, let's try not to mentally scar anyone in the process, okay?" Because possession, as fun as Ruby may have found it, really wasn't the most exciting idea for Sam. He couldn't help but find it tempting, but if they had to go any supernatural route, Sam found he wasn't entirely against that whole vampire mind control thing Ruby had brought up. If she even knew how to use it the right way.
"The two that weren't buried were the two that Hayes probably murdered," Sam commented with a frown. "From what I read, he hacked up the corpses and decided to throw himself a little party before the cops rolled in and dragged him off." Sam squinted off into the dark, taking in the shadows of the various trees spread throughout the property. Oh, great. They were in for a scavenger hunt, all right. "He strung the remains across a tree -" Figuring out which tree was going to be interesting. " - must have been one hell of a Christmas party." John Hayes. Maniac extraordinaire. The man had started off as a father of three, born into a rich family and married to a woman who had forced herself into his life for the money. When that woman had decided to take to another man, Hayes went mad and broke into one hell of a murder streak. The corpses buried in the small graveyard probably weren't to blame for the haunting - brutal murders were usually more likely - but given the amount of bodies spread across the place alone, Sam and Ruby really couldn't afford to take any chances. If they were gonna live here, they had to take care of everything. Especially Sam. Growing up a hunter, you didn't just let things like unattended corpses slide. Not in the place you slept, anyway.
