"The...Apocalypse? Like the Christian Apocalypse?" she asked, curious. When people talked about the world ending, at least among her group of friends, it had only been vague. It had mostly been about what Aizen had tried to do, and even now, she still wasn't exactly sure what his goal had been. Urahara-san had tried to explain it but she had still been so traumatized from Hueco Mundo that she didn't grasp it and didn't really want to in the first place.
"I'm used to being alone," she continued. "I lived with my brother for a long time but he died so I've been on my own ever since," she said. She didn't need to go into detail about how he'd become a Hollow and tried to consume her spirit. Later, if she found she could really trust this woman (and she was almost pretty sure she could), then she would go into more detail. Ishida-kun had been trying to drill it into her head, since Kurosaki-kun had lost his powers and withdrawn from that aspect of their lives, that not everyone could see Hollows. Not everyone knew they existed.
And then a thought hit her and her eyes widened: were there Hollows in America? She wasn't a shinigami or a Quincy, and she couldn't kill them on her own. But...maybe there were more powerful people here who could, if she ran into one. It sounded like there were powerful people fighting on Abby's side, so if there was a Hollow maybe they could beat them. With that thought, she relaxed slightly and turned a small smile to Abby.
