It meant a lot to Tish that, immediately upon seeing her, Leon hadn’t screamed or shouted Christo. She gave him a halfhearted smile and stepped inside the doorway.
She paused before speaking. If she started to ramble on and on about the hardships of dealing with these strange new powers she was afraid that he would worry too much.
“Really hungry, actually.” Her hand found its way to a position resting on her stomach and she frowned. “Everything I try to eat tastes so...” Tish trailed off, something else taking her attention. She looked around, eyebrows wrinkled, and sniffed the air curiously. Something smelled wonderful to her, but she couldn’t quite figure out what the source of the mouthwatering aroma was.
“Are you cooking something?” She took a step closer to Leon. As she approached him she noticed that the smell was growing stronger. This was puzzling to her.
