WHO: Zuko and Azula. WHAT: Zuko is making tea and the siblings are going to BUTT HEADS! WHEN: 2/25 Friday late morning/early afternoon! WHERE: The kitchen! RATING: PG-13? Mebe!
There was something that Zuko missed more than the familiar atmosphere of home. He missed Uncle. The old man had become a father figure over the years, he had never turned his back on Zuko and had never hurt him like his own father had. Uncle was a patient man that had taught Zuko some of the most important life lessons that he had learned. Uncle had been a constant companion during the banishment that Zuko had lived through. It was difficult to be without him; the Fire Lord had come to rely on the old man's presence. It might be easier to settle in to this place if he had something familiar, something that wasn't his sister. The fact that Azula was here was worrisome. She was dangerous and Zuko worried about her being on the loose, but he didn't have a way to keep her from wandering. the best he could do would be to try and monitor what she was doing. Even that he wasn't sure he'd be able to do as of the moment. As far as Zuko was concerned he'd be able to beat her if it came to a fight, but there'd be a great deal of damage to the area around them should it come to that.
Worrying did little to help Zuko's situation. There was something he knew of that would always help and that was tea. Uncle Iroh had taught him how to make teas that would definitely help relax him--or at least it'd be a temporary sort of relief. It was strange here and definitely something that was taking time to get used to. Something that was easier to get used to as of the moment was the food. Zuko had experimented and tried a great deal of these new foods. At this point, Zuko was yearning for something familiar, though. That was what had caused him to end up in the complex kitchen. If there was one thing Zuko could manage it was making tea even in this place. The tall young man stood in front of the stove, he'd already put the kettle on, now it was just a matter of waiting for it to get to the point that he needed.
Stepping away from the stove, Zuko crossed his arms and mostly out of habit began to pace. there was so much going on here that Zuko hadn't quite gotten caught up yet. He needed to do so. His path lead him back and forth in front of the stove. It wouldn't make anything happen faster, but at the same time if Zuko didn't have his duties to occupy his mind, then he needed something to occupy his body. This would do for the moment. His brow was furrowed in what might be his trademark brooding face. The scar on his face, as it always did, was a stark contrast against the rest of his skin. Zuko understood it could be startling to many who saw him for the first time, but over time he had grown used to it. He no longer saw the scar as something shameful.
It didn't even occur to him that someone else might wander into the kitchen. He was too lost in his thoughts at the moment.
