"Yeah, Melinda." The Halliwell repeated herself, lifting an eyebrow. The dude couldn't be hard of hearing because he had heard her just fine before. She had no clue that he thought she was someone else and was playing a game. Honestly she just thought that he was weird. Sometimes people were just weird. Of course, a lot of the weird Mel had run into had been more on the magical side of things. This was super awkward, though. Blinking in confusion, Mel couldn't help but look at Sam like he was crazy. "I don't look like a Melinda? Well, you should definitely let my parents know they gave me the wrong name, but...it's worked just fine for 23 years." Seriously....Ruby? What the hell was wrong with him?
If he didn't give her some space, Melinda was going to get up to get some of the much needed space. As soon as he spoke, Melinda snorted. "Um....Sam was it? Your size begs to differ." Melinda told him only to have him give her a concerned look, but the affect it had on Mel was to only make her think he was even more strange. "I'm not mad at you, you're just creeping me out, dude. I don't even know you." And with that Melinda managed to stand up before she turned to look at the guy. This was just weird and standing up made Mel feel a little more in control. "Why don't you tell me what's going on?"
Then he was calling her that name. "I just told you my name is Melinda." She took a step back from him and then made a face at him. "And I don't know what ring you're talking about. You're really starting to get weird. I think you should leave me alone now." Yeah, she was done with this. If he didn't listen then she'd take off without him.
