Siri could sense the Luke was hesitant to believe that none of them had foreseen Palpatine's rise, but Siri knew it to be true. That was just the only way. He would've been stopped otherwise. Maybe they would've been able to bring Anakin back. Otherwise, they could've been spared. All of her friends, her family... Adi and the Council, Bant and Garen - maybe even herself - she still was hesitant to know of her own fate, even now, she refused to look it up, though she knew the knowledge was out there, in this world. She nodded, slowly, watching Luke carefully, the way she had when she'd first entered. "Hard to see, the Dark Side is," she smiled gently, almost sadly, it being ridiculously, obviously clear just who she was quoting on the matter, "Infallible, the Jedi are not."
"Ben," she muttered, registering what Luke was telling her and musing on the unfamiliar alias for a moment. Siri let out a quiet bark of laughter, smirking a bit. "Even the name he chose for exile is kind of boring!" Even despite her words, it was obvious that she was joking. Siri knew that his choice had been deliberate, and logical, to not draw any connection or suspicions from the Empire or anyone friendly to the Empire. And otherwise, there was a softness, a fondness in her voice and eyes that was impossible to not acknowledge and recognize for what it was.
It only lingered for a moment, though, before she straightened, pushing it down, down to where she couldn't reach it and where it could only try painfully to claw its way back up, the way it had for over ten years. Her gaze resharpened a bit, and she nodded a bit, grateful. "Thank you, though. He was... he's my best friend," she acknowledged, confiding as much as she was ever willing to confide to anyone. Siri could feel now that Luke could be trusted that much, and what he had told her really had helped. "Sometimes I wish he were here now." She was quick to backpedal, though, to restate. "Obviously none of us want to be here, but, you know. I feel like a lot of us could really use his help." Obi-Wan was logical and practical where Siri was emotional and headstrong, and that was a big part of the reason they were able to work so well together. And she could only think of one time where the tables had been turned. "And he'd definitely have more answers for you than I do, of course. Sorry about not having much to offer, by the way."
