Luke's own surprise at her revelations wasn't really a surprise to Siri. She, too, would've been shocked to hear that a thirteen-year-old was capable of something so sinister, but also, it was a different time. There were no set ages, of course, for when a Padawan first experienced death, or emotions so strong. She nodded. "On the trip back to the Temple - my own mission was obviously finished when Krayn was defeated - Obi-Wan talked to Anakin about it." Even now, Siri couldn't help but smile a bit sheepishly; it wasn't quite proper to eavesdrop on a conversation between a Master and a Padawan, especially one with such a valuable lesson, but really, she had been in the same room, so. It wasn't her fault, really. "Krayn had been armed, so in all fairness, your father had been well within the Code. His life was in danger, and he had no choice." She inclined her head slightly. "Or at least, that was his own justification for it."
She didn't know how to explain to Luke, what she had felt on that ship. The unease and tension coming from her friend, regarding what had happened on the mission, what his Padawan had done. Siri hadn't been there- right there - the way Obi-Wan had been when Anakin killed Krayn. She had no idea what the kid's motivations had been. But she did have more to share, still. "I fear he did have personal reasons, though," she admitted after a thoughtful moment, bringing her searing blue gaze back to Luke. "A life of slavery had been one he had escaped from; he wasn't about to fall under Krayn's rule so easily. He made that perfectly clear to me when we were locked up together." And that gumption, that desire to free himself as well as the other slaves on Nar Shaddaa - it had impressed Siri. Their mission was to infiltrate and overthrow, and Anakin's plan - a slave revolt - was a way to meet that objective as well as help the greater good. But had he acted toward the mission, or toward his own desires?
"But yes, that was the last time I saw him. We parted ways after our debriefing with the Council. He went to rest, I spoke with Obi-Wan for a bit, and then I was called before the Council to be Knighted." She took a deep breath, stretching out her legs in front of her and grinning, a bit in spite of herself, before shrugging, palms extended toward the ceiling. "And from there, I ended up in this glorious system." Siri was sure Luke hadn't quite expected her to drop that bit of information, either - that the mission she was speaking of was extremely recent, in her own timeline - but his potential reaction was to be expected and accepted, not to be relished upon. "So I'm missing about ten years or so, before his fall. As far as I know. And a lot can happen in ten years."
