River's rooftop garden was quickly becoming Anakin Solo's favorite place to get away. The day had been straining. Things with Jacen were shaky at best. He was trying not to be immature, but Jacen was making it difficult for him. He knew he wasn't old enough to officially claim a Padawan, especially his Uncle and his mother no less..but what else could they do then help eachother? He could have passed them along to Tenel Ka or Jania, sure..but Leia had approached him directly..
It wasn't so much that he'd taken what Jacen was saying to heart, but Anakin was already doubting himself when it came to teaching. He wasn't a Master. He was a skilled Jedi Knight, but he was not even able to claim them. Still neither were comfortable being taught by the sith or sith influenced, and to be honest he worried about Tenel Ka..After what Jacen had told him about Tahiri, how could he not? Tahiri had been strong just like Tenel Ka, but she was manipulated into becoming a sith apprentice. So for Tenel Ka to believe that it was impossible, that she could get out at any time was concerning to Anakin. Still he supposed it was not his place. Tenel Ka was an of age adult where he was not. She could make her own decisions.
Then there was Jania. He wasn't certain what to think of her. He wanted to trust her, but her Force Presence was different these days as well. It made him wary to place much trust in either of his siblings, and it was disappointing. The three of them had been decently close growing up. Jania and Jacen were always closer then he had been of course since they were twins, but they'd never been this disconnected and it was upsetting and tiring.
Leia had tried to cheer him up, she'd come home as she said she would with fries and even a hug, but Anakin wasn't used to speaking to her on an emotional level. It was going to take some time for him. It was all taking time. Getting used to Earth was trying enough, but ontop of that there was being alive again. It was hard, and Anakin wasn't adjusting very well. He couldn't find his feet. It was like being thrown blind into the fray. He was lost.
The garden was a quiet place. Creeper was tangled up as always, the winter strawberries were gone, but the memory was still there. That alone was precious to Anakin. Sitting with River and eating what was left of the winter berries, he liked them, but he liked the fact that he'd made a friend even more. She was different, a little odd, but he liked her honesty. She reminded him of Tahiri and it was comforting. If he was given the chance to spend more time with her, he would in a heart beat, but for now he was content to be sitting alone on the roof. He was questioning everything, from his ability as a teacher, to his death and the effect it had on his siblings and future..He knew he needed to focus and meditate on it, but he could not for the life of him sit still.
He stood on the edge of the roof and just walked it carefully, Back and forth. It was maddening, but he knew if he left alone then Leia would worry and follow. So he was trying desperately to keep himself level headed, but it was failing. His presence in the Force was shaking.
