Though Kaylee had been surrounded by nice people for as long as she could remember, she was always a little surprised by kindness. She looked at the woman who had offered her a kerchief for a second without speaking, but soon enough that familiar smile spread across her face. Kaylee took the kerchief and dabbed and wiped at her face which she now assumed was pretty grimy.
“Oh, I’m alright! Thanks.” She eyed the square of cloth which was now spotted with grease and dirt, then folding it up as neatly as she could manage before handing it back. “Just kinda lost, I guess.” Her voice lowered slowly and once more she looked around, trying to figure out if this was a place she had visited on some other occasion. “Don’t want to sound too crazy, but I’m feelin’ kinda lost.” Her eyes wandered and examined the things on sale. With everything so neatly packaged and shiny she thought it was safe to assume that this was a planet she wasn’t welcome on.
“What planet is this?” It didn’t seem like an odd question to ask since Kaylee was from a time and place where space travel was commonplace.
