Leia had found herself a job at a bookstore, which proved to be beneficial as she had access not only to history and political books, but cook books as well. It made figuring out the comparisons between food from Earth and food from home easier. After all, despite how droll the classes had been, Leia had indeed learned to cook, she just never really did it often back home. But here on Earth, she was cooking more.
Now, there was plenty of food at the complex, ingredients and the like, but Leia didn't like to be indebted to others. Also, it was easier to pick out the food herself for what would make a dish similar to home. As such, after getting paid, Leia had decided that she was going to get groceries.
Having found a smaller market than the main one, the brunette was dressed conservatively in slacks and a blouse as well as a knee length jacket, her hair up in braids around her head. It was just easier to deal with here as well as being a non conspicuous hair style. Currently, Leia had fresh fruit in her cart as well as other choice ingredients. But she was distracted. There were some punks about to pick on someone who was obviously lost. And Leia was figuring out that lost in Kansas meant brought here by the seal.
"Is there a problem?" While petite, Leia still commanded respect, her voice leaving no room for argument. And it did just as she wanted. It had the boys scampering off with their tails between their legs. Leia was an Ice Queen and she had no issue with that, even if she was trying to keep from closing off completely. But for now, it was looking to Kaylee, handing her a kerchief for the grease on her forehead.
"Are you all right?" Now that they were relatively alone, most people having stopped looking when Leia interceded on the incident, Leia's voice was softer, less harsh.
