"What it's like to have a parent's approval.... to have something of them that's strictly them." Shrugging, Galinda flopped onto her back, twisting her legs back and forth as she thought. She didn't talk about her past much. It wasn't something she really understood, and no one ever really asked. They just cared about what the blond could do for them. She didn't mind it, she didn't know anything else. But it was still a thought she often had.
"I never knew my parents. It was always governesses. They bought me everything I ever wanted, but I never got to see them for long periods of time. Always busy."
Sighing, the blond's smile faltered. Deep down, she did wonder why people were her friend. Was it her or what she could get them? Elphie never cared about what she could get her. Neither did Caroline or Elena. They just... were there. And Bonnie said she was there now, that their issues in the past were gone. It was strange.
Looking over at Elphie, Galinda smiled weakly.
"I wonder if that's normal... I sometimes don't think it is and that something's wrong with me. I can have all the friends in the world, but my parents want nothing to do with me. And if they want nothing to do with me, why do I have so many friends?"
