Elphaba couldn't help but chuckle a bit as Galinda rambled a bit. She looked up at Galinda when she propped herself up. "It's all right, things have been crazy around here. Thank you for bringing it to me." Her smile widened a bit. Since smiling tended to be rare for her, it did feel strange to her when she smiled like this.
Her thumb was rubbing against the top of the bottle as it tended to do when she was trying to make herself feel better. It was so strange how something so small and mostly ordinary made her feel so secure, but that's what the bottle did for her. It was something that no one could take away from her or tarnish with bad memories. There were things she didn't like talking about, her childhood and pretty much anything involving her father that went deeper than the fact he hated her, but her mother was something different. What she remembered most of her was her long dark hair and the scent of her perfume. It was a scent that had somehow etched itself into her memory.
She pulled herself out of her reverie and looked back at Galinda when she heard the unfinished sentence. "You wonder what what's like?" She the propped herself up on her elbow, looking at Galinda with curiosity as to what was on her best friend's mind.
