While she wasn't a hugger by nature, Elphaba couldn't restrain herself from hugging Galinda right then. After everything that had been happening, she needed an emotional outlet that didn't involve her getting angry, and this was the perfect way. Elphaba couldn't help but yelp a bit in surprise as the blonde witch tackled her to the floor. Rolling onto her side to face Galinda, Elphaba couldn't help but smile a warm and wide smile. It was without a doubt the first time she'd smiled since Bonnie had gone missing almost two weeks prior.
"You did, and I do." She held the bottle in one hand, pressing it against her chest over her heart. Elphaba had been young when her mother had died, but she'd been old enough to retain some memories of her. So many nights, she'd spent thinking her mother had loved her and accepted her. Whether that was the truth or not, Elphaba would rather think her mother loved her and approved of her. After all, the alternative to that was that her entire family resented her. Well if that had been the truth, perhaps she would've been killed at birth then.
Sniffing a bit, Elphaba gently wiped at her eyes and looked at Galinda. "You are amazing, you know that?" She gazed into Galinda's eyes, that smile that was so foreign still on her face. "I can't believe you had this. I didn't think I'd see it again when I came here."
