WHO: Olivia Dunham and Abby Sciuto WHERE: Starbucks WHEN: February 6 | 3:30 pm WHAT: Caffeine is awesome, and two equally awesome women meet and quite possibly the idea for an awesome crime fighting team is formed – did you get that this thread is going to be TOTALLY AWESOME. STATUS: Incomplete RATING: TBA
As much as this world and everything about it fascinated Olivia, she missed home. She missed her sister, and her niece, she even missed Peter and Walter. She had managed to adapt, somewhat at least. She had a job with the FBI again, though right now it was more paper work than anything else. She supposed she shouldn’t be surprised that something like this had happened – going to another world, after all the last year had felt like a dream. She had spent most of it with her ex-lover and former partner, John Scott’s memories in her head unable to tell his from her own, and everything she had seen while working on the Fringe Team cases.
And now she was here, in a world full of angels and demons and who knows what else. As she sat in the Starbucks and thought of home a small smile tugged at her lips – Walter would love it here. Of course Walter would want to dissect a demon or something, which would be…interesting.
She sipped her coffee and looked back down at the book in her lap. She was reading up on forensic science, although this world was completely different than her own, Olivia wanted to make a team here. She knew it would be nothing like Fringe, since Fringe was pretty much thanks to Walter – but a team, she needed one. With a scientist of some form, a group of people that other agents called Squints (though Olivia always found that term demeaning). If she was going to be here she wanted to do something, and solving murders and other crimes was what she was good at. It was what she did, pursuing justice was pretty much all she did. Outside of work Olivia Dunham didn’t have a life. She never had much of one, which was probably why she was sitting alone in the Starbucks reading the gigantic book which could easily double as a deadly weapon.
Still it didn’t hurt to be dedicated to your work, even if you were a borderline workaholic. Olivia took another sip of coffee and decided the first thing she’d do once she got back to the office was start trying to put a team of some sort together. If she had too she’d ask Booth to pull some strings, she didn’t see why the other agent would object after all he seemed to do that himself and it was in the name of justice after all. How could the all American agent say no to that?
