"Nah," Lavender shrugged. "Probably only to me, I don't really want to be here either," she took a sip of champagne, almost downing the whole thing in one gulp. "Weddings, marriage," she paused for a moment, to finish the champagne. "Love, not really my thing."
And why she had just said that she had no idea. This was the problem when Lavender was agitated, or tipsy, she talked way to much, and normally ended up saying something she regretted. At least she wouldn't have to put on a fake smile right now and pretend she was happy, that would probably make her snap, and she was certain that Bella was already avoiding her because of snapping.
She set the empty flute down and extended her hand to the brunette. "I'm Lavender," she said, offering a small smile. "Booth's friend, you're Dr. Brennan, right?"
