Brennan had no idea why she had agreed to go to the wedding with Booth. She didn't believe in the idea of matrimony for one, and then there was that whole... soul bearing incident between her and Sam via Booth's phone. When Brennan had found out that maybe she hadn't confessed her feelings to Booth, she had been relieved. She just had needed to get to Sam before he returned the phone. But that plan had failed. It made sense, he had more on his plate than trying to fix the disaster his drunken shenanigan had caused. He was getting married.
The ceremony itself had been nice, if interesting given the bride was a demon, but that was just something Brennan had to get used to about this place. She'd been doing okay with it, but now her mind was in chaos and it had been hard to focus on the vows while she was sitting right next to Booth. The world was not turning right side up in regards to that situation despite the numerous days that had passed. It was still something she tried not to think about and always failed at. And being in such a setting hadn't helped matters.
As the ceremony ended and people moved to the party area, Brennan stayed mostly to herself. She wasn't the most social of people as it were, and the only person she actually knew was Booth. And she was wanting to avoid him if it were at all possible.
"I'm going to get something to drink." That seemed like a good excuse. Forcing a smile, the brunette moved to where the drinks were. Yes. she wanted alcohol. She wasn't going to get so drunk that she made a fool of herself publicly or with Booth, but she was going to try to alleviate the stress and tension with alcohol.
