He gave a nod. Elena was impressively levelheaded about the situation. That was a good thing. Elena was a strong young woman, so different from most of the southern belles Damon knew as a mortal man. At times it seemed like every quality of hers was captivating. Just when he was getting caught up in his inner reflections, Damon made an effort to focus on the matters at hand. They’d make more of a difference in finding Bonnie if their efforts were combined.
There were possibilities that Damon didn’t want to bring up for fear of upsetting Elena. Bonnie could have been dead somewhere. Even being a powerful witch couldn’t protect you from all of the evils the world had to offer.
“So,” He jammed his hands in his coat pockets, though as a vampire extreme temperatures didn’t bother him too much. “What’s the first thing you’ll tell Bonnie when we find her?”
