Damien had been scoping out the city most of the late hours of the night, just walking and searching. Trying to find some clue about those who had kidnapped and where they could be help prisoner. But he had found nothing at all. He realized it might have yielded better results if he went with other search party members as he'd been doing already several times before. But one of those among the taken happened to be his girlfriend. He could not let something happened to her, he'd be damned if he did that. Well.. maybe he was anyway, but that was beside the point. They needed to be found and the culprits responsible had to be punished. But it was just so damn frustrating that he had yet to find any answers himself. He didn't do too well with frustration. Maybe they'd get lucky and someone would learn more, and there'd be a big fight to settle it. He really hoped so. It had been a while. Although this one? He was taking it rather personally and wasn't sure how he'd cope if things didn't get settled soon. He hated waiting. But he could if he had to. He'd feel much better when, or if, the victims were safely returned back to the demon-free complex. But now he was slightly exhausted and needed to get back to the apartment complex. Probably a good thing he had quit his job or there could be the risk of running late; being suddenly wealthy had probably played a part in it. Fortunately, he had dressed warmly enough for the entire night he had been out. Dark jeans, a few layers of black shirts, combat boots, and his black leather trenchcoat. It had kept him warm for several nights so far and that was good enough for him.
Though he was usually resistant to temperatures anyway, precautions could never hurt. As he was walking in a familiar part of the city, noting that the sun had come up by now, he stopped as he saw a man walking toward him. With only pants.. and seemingly prepared for a fight. Was it a homeless person? Or someone from a gang? Maybe it was neither. It was a bit early for someone to be walking around, aside from himself. But honestly, whoever it was, really shouldn't be out in such weather while as much attire that he had. But he also noticed a scar above one of the eyes.. and smoke? Yeah, had to be smoke. Those few details alone were enough to tell him to be very careful in this moment, since he didn't know anyone else with those characteristics. He didn't want to get to close and make any sudden moves. He wasn't interested in any fights right now, unless this man was one of the kidnappers, which of course he strongly doubted. And this one could likely kick ass too, from the looks of him (in addition to what he saw of the smoke and scar, the latter of which should be an indication of one accustomed to battle). Damien was confident in his own abilities as well as physical skills, of course. But now was not the time for fighting. Especially not with someone he'd never met before. There were more important things at stake for the moment, anyway. So he stopped where he was, holding one hand up as if in caution, then spoke. "Err.. hello, sir? Are you lost? I should tell you.. this city really isn't a safe place right about now. Are you from around here? I don't think I've seen you in this area before." He paused, noting that the man must be freezing in this weather. "Also, I don't mean to be Captain Obvious here, and intend no offense.. but you can catch cold with the amount of clothing you have. I may know of a few places around here where you could obtain whatever extra clothes you'd need to be more comfortable. If you'd want, sir."
