Who: Kira Ford and Sam Evans [he has claimed the open tag. ;3]
What: Kira and her guitar blow off some steam.
When: Tonight
Where: complex music room
Warnings: None really

The week had been strange and long. It felt like a century had come and gone in the blink of an eye. Everything Kira had known was gone in a day, and it wasn't the typical mission. She was alone-save for Tommy of course. Her friends were still moving forward with their lives in Reefside, or branching out into the computer world and moving into the future. What was she doing? She was stuck in the past. She was once again drawn into the line of fire, and wasn't sure how she should handle that. Doctor Oliver had told them that they had done great things with their time as Power Rangers, but after Mesogog was defeated they had the rest of their lives to look forward to. To tell the truth, Kira had been.

Her musical career was taking off like a fire storm. She had been getting contracts, and media face time right and left. Suddenly she was back to square one. Feeling like a little fish in a big sea, and it was uncomfortable. Toward the end of her high school career she had discovered who she was, and was finally comfortable with the girl in the mirror and now she had to start all over again and find her footing. She wasn't sure if she wanted to make a big name for herself again. What if she was sent back and once again all of it was torn away from her..She didn't think she could lose what she had twice. It was heart breaking enough this first time.

She missed familiar grounds and faces, waiting to see her perform and sing. Here it was just an empty room and her own thoughts to keep her company as she strummed a few chords on her guitar. It was the only thing she had from home that was hers and not half belonging to the complex, and so she guarded it like her baby.

"And I know, that you know, that I'll keep on waiting..Patiently..Patiently..for you. " The melody kicked up a notch and she began to feel a little better, a little less heavy hearted. Music always had that effect, even when the world was upside down it made things right.

Sam was not enjoying his time away from Lima, Ohio. Things were much simpler back home, not to mention significantly less dangerous. He longed for that place he saw on television weekly. Sam was even starting to miss Rachel Berry’s long-windedness and Coach Sylvester’s scheming.

It seemed pretty obvious that there was still something between Puck and Quinn even though he was sure she would say that she was still Sam’s girl. It was noticeable even without the influence of the Sins.

Sam craved the familiarity of home, but there wasn’t much to do about. He was on the brink of resignation, about to just crawl back into bed and chill out with a book, but an idea struck him. He figured that he’d pay the music room a visit to get a taste of what he missed most about home - glee club.

Splashing a little water on his tired face, Sam set out from his apartment perhaps to strum a guitar or play a song on the piano. As he got closer it became apparent that he wasn’t the only one craving a musical outlet. He could hear a guitar and eventually a lovely female voice singing. Almost shyly, Sam poked his head in the doorway to see who was in the room.

“You’re good.” He stuffed his hands in his jeans pockets and stepped into the room.

Kira hadn't been expecting company, honestly she'd been so wrapped up in her song that she didn't even see the kid in the door. The song was soft and warm, the lyrics were upbeat and positive. She was surprised with it herself when she originally wrote it back in high school. She'd been going through one of those dark phases, and yet this came out of it. Something with a silver lining came out of how messed up her life became that early Junior year. So it always had a special place in her heart even if she'd moved onto different styles and different levels of skill, she would always play that song when she needed a reminder of how things could be.

Almost instantly though when she heard the voice her focus broke and she had to put down the instrument. "Oh, uh thanks. I didn't realize anyone was there.." She wasn't adverse to an audience, but it was just strange to actually have someone really listen. At least she hoped that's what was going on. She would always welcome a music fanatic. "Am I interrupting something?" She asked bluntly, not sure if the room was open use or not.

"Sorry, I just needed space and my room isn't really built for acoustics.. " She admitted with a little shrug and nonchalant smile. She was off beat that was easy enough to notice just by her neo punk style, and her awkwardness. Usually she was better at letting the music speak for her.

“I’m pretty sure the music room is for anyone in the complex.” He looked around. It had been set up nicely; He liked it. Of course it wouldn’t beat the classroom at William McKinley High, but Sam suspected that he preferred the room back home at least partially because of sentimental worth.

“I didn’t mean to walk in on you. I just felt like I needed a little music.” Sam kept it vague. He didn’t feel comfortable enough to ramble on in front of an almost perfect stranger. After all, he didn’t even feel comfortable letting Quinn in on everything that was bothering him.

“I guess you have a musical background?” He smiled just a little. It was somewhat obvious. The girl he found himself talking to had excellent pitch and a pleasant voice.
