Hoping that Anakin would understand what she was saying. That it wasn't about him, or them. That it was so much bigger than the both of them. "This isn't about you Anakin, the Jedi aren't doing this to hurt you."
She paused again. Did he know who they were? Who Jacen was to them? Should she tell him? "Anakin, the Jedi here. They're our family. They wouldn't hurt you." At least she hoped they wouldn't, she was still just getting to know them, but she trusted them. She trusted them as if she had known them her entire life.
The look on his face broke his heart. Despite her mixed feelings, Padmé couldn't help but take a few steps closer to him and gently reach foreword to touch his arm. "I don't know. I wish I did. But I don't."
