She'd been standing across the street, chain smoking, for twenty minutes. Chocolate eyes were focused on the complex - it'd been a while since she'd been there, not since the previous Buffy had been around, and it felt weird being back. She wasn't fully sure that she wanted to go in there again. It felt almost like admitting defeat - but staying outside, or walking away, that would have been worse. That would have meant she was scared. And while, deep down, she was, there was no way Faith was going to let anyone else know that. Especially Buffy Summers. Throwing a cigarette onto the ground, she absently crushed it out with the heel of her boot, then exhaled the smoke and followed it up with a deep breath.

A moment later, the brunette Slayer began to cross the street, moving towards the complex. She wondered what they would say if she recommended them having guards or something, then dismissed the idea. They'd never listen to her about that kind of stuff. Pushing open the front doors, she paused in the lobby, studying it for a moment, then headed for the stairs. Sure, the elevator would have been faster, but she didn't really like being stuck in boxes like that.

It seemed almost too quick that she was standing outside apartment 411, but she was. Faith took another deep breath, then lifted her fisted hand and knocked sharply. She then stuffed her hands into the pockets of the leather jacket Pike had given her for Christmas when he'd been there before - had it really been that long ago? - and waited to see if B would even come to the door.
