Who: Kate Kane/Batwoman and OPEN!
What: Kate just got to town.
When: Mid afternoon.
Where: The streets of Lawrence.

When Kate went out on patrol that night she didn't expect ultimate-weirdness. Stop a few muggings, maybe a robbery or two, sure. But suddenly going from the dead of night in Gotham (Not that the night was ever dead there. That's when the criminal activity was at it's peak.) to mid afternoon in... somewhere else entirely wasn't what she was expecting.

But at least she had good reflexes. If she didn't she probably would have gone and smashed into the back of a semi that was suddenly in front of her. And stopped at a red light. Kate quickly hit the breaks on her Batbike and swerved to the right, pulling to a stop between two cars parked on the curb.

It was then that Kate really started trying to figure out what was going on around her. She didn't feel like she had been drugged, and if she had been it would have had to be an odd one considering she was driving down the street. But still, that didn't change the fact that she was clearly outside of Gotham and it was now the middle of the day. A quick glance around showed her that some of the stores lining the busy street had post-New Year's sales going on, which made no sense. It was Thanksgiving. Why were there New Year's sales?

Plus, people were giving her odd looks. Sure, she got odd looks back in Gotham. But they weren't like this. In Gotham they were more looks of surprise that she was actually there. Here they were shock. Almost like they weren't used to masks.

"What the hell is going on?" Kate muttered to herself.
