She didn't argue when Ron took charge, staying close to his side as they walked. It was one of the things she hated about demons. They appeared normal until you saw their eyes and even at that they could sometimes hide the blackness. There was nothing to really hint at it until you got closer and that really wasn't what they wanted.
But the further they went, the less people surrounded them. And, really, she didn't know if that was good or bad. There were less people to watch to see if they were demons but there were also less people to keep them hidden. But then Ron had stopped and Hermione quickly turned to face him only to be met with a person with black eyes holding firmly onto him. Her wand instantly raised and she looked around to see if any others were near by.
"Let him go."
That probably wouldn't help, she knew that. But it was the best she could do. Until she grabbed the vial of holy water that was, but she didn't know how may were here and she didn't want to use it all on one demon. And she couldn't risk a lot of spells at the moment with Ron so close to him, she didn't want to risk hitting Ron. The moment she got, however, she knew spells would just fall from her mouth. She had gotten good at that given her friendship with Harry and what came from that.
