Honestly it was better that way. Booth wasn't in share mode ever when it came to Bela. He tried to get through to her and she did nothing but end up souring him on Kansas born women. "Wouldn't follow it to a tee, but you know..I'll put it out there. "He shrugged and watched her with the package, not wanting to think of Bela anymore, he was glad that she started to open it instead. "Knowing Parker it's the kind of story that will give me a giant legal headache, but I'm sure it'll be entertaining none the less." He stated with a roll of his eyes. Parker was starting to catch on that there were some things Booth just couldn't know about when it came to Eliot, Hardison, and her little trio of thieves.
It was fortunate for both parties that Booth wasn't in the crime unit. or he'd be forced to pay more attention, but instead he was the one who had to deal with murder and death and mysterious circumstance. He didn't mind it really. Not most of the time anyway. What he did was give people closure, find the truth and the truth was important. Some people wouldn't agree, but that's why people like Seeley Booth were out there, to save people and catch bad guys. The month off had been a pretty good idea, it gave him a different perspective on his job. Though he'd never actually admit it out loud, since he was still a little cranky with Lav for disrupting him in the first place.
He couldn't help but watch her in amusement. "Freaking adorable. " He said automatically and sank back into his chair with a content look on his face. It had kitty ears, it had to be a good choice right? And Kitty seemed to have a sense of humor when it came to her name at least, Lav might have punched or hexed him if he came up with something Lavender for her.
